An industrial visit was carried out at OMAN TRANSMISSION GRID SUB-STATION (400KV/220KV/132KV/33KV/11KV/415V) – IBRI maintained by Oman Electricity Transmission Company on 22 March 2018.
22 students of II- year Diploma Electrical Power Engineering along with two teachers (Mr. Veera Nagireddy V and Srinivasa Rao. N) reached the sub-station at 10.15am. The Sub-Station staff received us well. HSE Officer, Mr. Hamed Al Shali, explained the safety rules in the sub-station. The Operation and Maintenance Engineer, Mr Waleed Al Kalbani, explained the load dispatch centre in Muscat and how the sub-station receives electrical power from the generating station.
